Magnolia – Falska Vägar (2008) – Transubstans

No activo desde 1994, esta banda Sueca, com nome inspirado num tema dos Blue Cheer, tem em “Falska Vägar” a segunda proposta de estúdio. Esta rodela inclui 10 temas em pouco mais de 42 minutos de Bluesy Hard Rock com inspiração nos finais dos 60s e inícios dos 70s. As influências passam por Cream, November, Mountain, Free ou Blue Cheer. É retro mas não soa forçado como o resto das propostas que por aí andam nos tops, sendo o som dos Magnolia puro, pleno de alma e espírito (e outra coisa não se poderia esperar de uma edição Transubstans). Estes tipos bem poderiam ter crescido no intervalo temporal acima mencionado que não ficariam nada deslocados. As letras em Sueco ainda ajudam a dar outro colorido à música da banda. Gosto quando uma banda canta na sua língua materna, seja qual for o estilo musical. Além disso, a gravação num estúdio analógico ajudou a conseguir aquele som cheio mas cru, bem necessário ao estilo.
